He has loved you far longer than you have known Him.

Welcome
If you have wandered onto this pathway today, I am so glad you are here.
Before we talk about identity…
Before purpose…
Before freedom…
Before becoming…
There is something far more important to discover.
The heart of the Father.
Because everything else grows from there.
The Question We Carry
Whether we realise it or not, many of us spend our lives asking the same question.
Am I truly loved?
Not because of what I have achieved.
Not because I have finally become “good enough.”
Not because I have everything together.
But simply… because I am His.
Some of us spend years trying to earn what has always been freely given.
Approval.
Acceptance.
Belonging.
Love.
Yet the Father has never asked us to earn His heart.
He has simply invited us to receive it.
Before You Ever Searched…
Long before you prayed your first prayer…
Long before you understood Scripture…
Long before you even knew His name…
The Father already knew yours.
He was never waiting for you to become lovable.
He loved you before you even knew you needed Him.
The story of Scripture is not really humanity searching for God.
It is the story of a loving Father continually seeking His children.
From the garden… to the cross… to this very moment…
His heart has always been moving towards us.
What Is the Father’s Heart Like?
Jesus answered that question better than anyone ever could.
He said,
“Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father.“
When we watch Jesus… welcoming children… touching lepers… forgiving failures… restoring broken people… we are seeing the Father’s heart.
He is Gentle. Patient. Compassionate. Kind.
He rejoices over His children.
He does not delight in shame.
He delights in restoration.
Love Changes Us Differently Than Fear
Many of us learned to change because we were afraid.
Afraid of failure.
Afraid of disappointing God.
Afraid of never being enough.
But fear can only change behaviour.
Love transforms hearts.
The Father is not trying to make you afraid enough to obey Him.
He is inviting you to know Him deeply enough that your heart naturally begins to change.
Transformation grows in the soil of love.
Pause Here
Before reading any further…
Take one slow breath.
Imagine yourself sitting on the garden bench beneath the roses.
Nothing to prove.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to earn.
Simply allow yourself to hear these words.
You are loved.
Not someday.
Not when you have changed.
Today.
Exactly as you are.
Scripture to Rest In
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are.”
— 1 John 3:1
Notice John does not say, “One day you might become God’s children.”
He says, “That is what we are.“
The Father delights in calling you His own.
Gentle Reflection
You might like to spend a few quiet moments with these questions.
🌹 When you picture God, what expression do you imagine on His face?
🌹 What has shaped that picture?
🌹 What would change if you truly believed that the Father delights in you today?
🌹 Is there anything you are still trying to earn from Him that He has already freely given?
There are no perfect answers.
Simply bring your heart honestly before Him.
A Quiet Prayer
Father,
Thank You that Your love began long before I ever understood it.
Teach me to know You as You truly are.
Help me lay down the belief that I must earn what You have already freely given.
Open my eyes to see Your kindness.
Help me receive Your love with open hands.
And as I come to know Your heart more deeply, let my own heart become more like Yours.
Amen.
