How long, Lord?
Habakkuk begins with questions and ends with worship.
The prophet looks at violence and injustice around him and asks God why He seems silent. God’s answers bring new questions, and Habakkuk wrestles honestly with what he hears.
Yet by the end, circumstances have not necessarily changed — Habakkuk has. His questions lead him towards a deeper trust in the God whose purposes extend beyond what he can see.
However you choose to explore Habakkuk, take your time. Bring your questions with you and discover the faith that can still say, “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord.”
